Memorial Day
Happy Memorial Day to all. It was beautiful weather here yesterday so I spent most of the day outside. Today is a little over cast with a slight chance of rain so I plan to work in the house today, mostly in the sewing room. I have 16 completed blocks and several others at various stages. I plan to start by pre-cutting logs for more blocks and maybe putting away some other fabrics as I go. You can go back to previous post for more information on this pattern.

working on this week
There was a pattern in an old Quilt Works magazine form 2003 that I had tagged to do someday. It is called Flying Geese in the Cabin. It is done like Bonnie Hunter's Pineapple Blossom, just has smaller strips and more rounds.
This is round one.
Round 2.
Round 3.
Round 4.
I have completed 4 more blocks since this photo was taken and have several others in various stages of completion.
Johnny wasn't home when I was sewing the other day so Lucy kept me company and got me more exercise because she lay right behind my chair. I would have to step over her to get to the iron or cutting table.
Working this evening but hope to get a little sewing time this morning and more over the weekend and holiday. Have a great Memorial Day.
