DWM working ahead

I have finished the August UFO number (well except for binding) so I was looking at what was left on the list. I only have one that will need a good bit of piecing so I thought I would work on it. It is another Bonnie Hunter pattern. I have a little over half of the blocks pieced but I think I will make it a little larger.

The original pattern is 7 blocks by 7 blocks. Unless I am making a quilt king size I don't usually make square quilts, so I thougth I would add another row.

I had bow ties done in red, blue, yellow, orange, green, purple and brown. I bought a lot of turquoise and hot pink when I did Orca Bay so I thought I would add a little of these. I made a few just to make sure it was a pop not a stand out like  a sore thumb. I think they work.

I also pulled some of those new oranges I bought on the Kansas trip. I'll keep making these blocks while I finish putting labels and rod pockets on my quilt show entries.

I'll try to not go a week again before the next post. Happy quilting.
