A friend I had not seen is a long time asked me to make a pillow for her from her Daddy's ties. He had passed away last May and she had seen these memory pillows on pinterest. I had never worked with ties before so I did a little research before I agreed to try it. It was a new experience, but not a bad one. She said she might get me to make one for her Mother and I agreed but I said NO on making a quilt from ties. Trying new things is a growing experience and a good thing but you have got to know your limitations and quilting with ties would not be enjoyable for me. The pillow was fun and will gladly do it again.
